Being an architect is both a passion and a great responsibility.
I consider myself a naturally curious person, and I believe that architecture is a profession that is always complex, stimulating and ever-changing. I enjoy embracing challenges and finding thoughtful, effective solutions to the issues each project presents.
My strengths, developed through more than thirty years of professional experience, include:

Construction sites are extraordinary places where everyone has a role to play, and where the Construction Director must coordinate every participant, both technically and personally. Those who experience the finished building will ultimately see only the completed work, never the complexity and dedication behind its creation.
I graduated in Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano in 1991.
I have been a registered Architect with the Order of Architects of Milan since 1994.
I began my professional career at Area Studio S.r.l., an architecture and engineering practice, in the late 1980s. At that time, while I was still a student, the studio was filled with drafting tables, coloured pencils, tracing paper, technical pens and drawing films.
Although the profession has undergone profound changes over the years, the same passion and emotional commitment have remained unchanged, strengthened by invaluable collaborations and lasting professional relationships.
The experience, discipline and professional rigour I developed at Area Studio continue to inspire my work today. They drive my ongoing pursuit of harmony and balance, not only in architectural design, but also in coordinating the people, expertise and resources required to successfully deliver every project.

(Where It All Began)
Area Studio S.r.l., an architecture and engineering practice, was established in Milan in 1988, building upon more than twenty years of professional experience developed by its founding partners, Linda Capriolo and Pietro Ripa, who had previously worked through their own independent practices.
Over the years, the firm has grown thanks to the invaluable contribution of its employees and collaborators, each of whom has left a lasting professional and personal legacy. Together, they have enriched the practice by expanding its expertise across disciplines closely connected to architectural design, while sharing and strengthening the philosophy that has always remained at the core of Area Studio’s identity.
Today, Area Studio continues to benefit from the professional expertise and design experience of Pietro Ripa, who serves as the company’s Sole Director.
